What are the Energy Efficiency Awards?
The Energy Efficiency Awards are one of the most respected recognition schemes in the UK heating and retrofit industry. They shine a light on the businesses and individuals making a genuine, measurable difference, not just in technical standards, but in customer outcomes, environmental impact, and the future of how we heat our homes. They celebrate businesses leading the way in improving home performance, cutting carbon emissions, and raising standards across the heating and plumbing sector.
Entries are assessed against a rigorous set of criteria covering quality of workmanship, customer satisfaction, commitment to training and development, and the ability to deliver on the UK’s wider push toward low carbon technologies. Winning at regional level means being judged among the very best installers in the South West. a competitive field with no shortage of strong operators. Being recognised in three categories is a reflection of what our team has built since we started out in 2014.

Helping Devon homes go greener
As demand for low carbon solutions continues to rise, we have seen significant growth in renewable installations, particularly in solar PV and battery storage, alongside heat pump technologies.
We’re also helping homeowners take advantage of funding opportunities designed to make energy upgrades more accessible. One of the key offers currently available includes:
- Up to £4,500 towards combined solar PV and battery systems
- £2,250 for solar-only installations
- £2,250 for battery-only upgrades
This means a typical solar and battery installation, usually valued at around £9,000, can be reduced by up to £5,700 through funding and contributions, with a further Spring Synergi £1,000 discount, making it an even more affordable option at a total install cost of just £3,500 for eligible households.
These schemes are aimed at supporting households with lower incomes or specific health and vulnerability criteria, helping to reduce energy bills and improve home efficiency.
